Please excuse the construction debris and clutter, but the Power Politics web site is in a state of transition.

The new site is almost ready.  The majority of the content has been migrated, but I'm still filling in some holes and getting the last of the stuff from the old site moved into the new format.

You might as well go ahead and jump over to the new site since most of the critical stuff is in place...
nnew.PowerPolitics.us

(In another few days, we'll swap the two sites and the new one will be here and the old one will be going off to the retirement home for web sites who have completed their mission...)

It is every young child's dream. Thousands of Americans - from retired war heroes to school teachers to peanut farmers - have declared their candidacy for it. Only forty-two men have held the office. It is said to be the most powerful position on the face of the earth. It is the Presidency of the United States of America.

And now it is within your grasp...

From the award-winning designer of Power Politics, The Doonesbury Election Game and SpiritWars, comes Power Politics III, the 2004 presidential election game that casts you in the role of campaign manager as you try to guide your candidate to the Oval Office! The game features detailed statistical models of both current and historical presidential candidates, a supporting cast of hundreds of real-world potential running mates, and a data-rich recreation of the voting landscape. Power Politics III will both entertain you and provide you with stimulating insights into the marketing and management of a modern-day presidential candidate.

Carefully blending entertainment with realistic gaming features, Power Politics III offers a unique opportunity for voters to transform presidential politics from a spectator sport into a captivating, hands-on "what if" political testing ground. If Gore had campaigned more in Florida in the last week of the election, would Bush be the incumbent in 2004? How would John Edwards or Howard Dean have fared against Bush if they had won the nomination? And with Power Politics III you can explore the possibilities of the Hillary factor, as either Kerry's running mate or the Democratic nominee!

Power Politics III provides a realistic political engine capable of letting players explore these and other fascinating scenarios. And because all major candidates, dating back to the 1960 election, are included, Power Politics III offers unlimited replay value. How would Ronald Reagan fare with the 2004 electorate? Could Bobby Kennedy have successfully challenged Richard Nixon in the '68 election? From Eugene McCarthy to Hillary Clinton, the possibilities are unlimited.

Faced with hands-on management of detailed and realistic campaign strategies, you will quickly gain insight into the strengths and weaknesses of current and historical candidates. After a single game of Power Politics III, you will begin to grasp campaign tactics and you'll watch television election coverage with a fresh perspective.

Power Politics III also features online play, supported by a family-friendly (G-Rated) online community, including moderated chat rooms for players.

Get ready. The race for the White House is about to begin...
